The new BMW 1-series will be unveiled sometime this summer. One new 1 was seen testing in China, likely for adjustment of suspension settings for China’s rough roads. BMW has no plans to produce the 1-series locally yet.

BMW currently imports the 5-door hatch, coupe and convertible to China. The next-next all new 1-series however will likely be made in China by the Brilliance-BMW joint venture that makes the 3-series, 5-series and soon the X1.
