A coincidence indeed. Just as the international media starts to pay attention to the fact that the next gen Roewe 750 will be based on GM’s Epsilon II platform we got us a load of new spy shots. The new Roewe is expected to debut, likely as a concept, sometime near the end of the year. Buyers of the recently facelifted ‘old’ 750 will feel stupid.

The Epsilon II platform also underpins the Buick Lacrosse, Buick Regal/Opel Insigina and the Chevrolet Malibu. Shanghai Auto Industry Corporation (SAIC) is the owner of the Roewe and MG brands. SAIC also has a joint venture with GM, Shanghai-GM, which makes various GM cars for the Chinese market, including the Regal and Lacrosse and soon the Malibu.

Nose loox ready for the Roewe badge. The new 750 will get a sister at MG to replace the MG7.
