Roewe W5 SUV to be Listed in China in May

The Roewe W5 SUV finally debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show. The W5 is based on the SsangYong Kyron and restyled for the better by Roewe. The W5 will be listed next month. Price starts around 170.000 yuan and ends around 300.000 yuan.

Two engines: an ancient 3.2 six in-line that Mercedes-Benz once licensed to SsangYong. In the W5 it coughs up 220hp. Second engine is Roewe’s own and much more modern 1.8 turbo with 160hp. Transmission: 5-speed manual or 6-speed tiptronic. Drivetrain: 4×4.
