The Passat B7 is made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture and called Magotan. For China Volkswagen uses the B7L platform, a B7 stretched by 103mm in the middle for more space in the back. The Magotan B7L was expected at the Shanghai Auto Show but did not appear.

The Magotan will hit the Chinese auto market in June. Engines: 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI. The 3.0 V6 is yet unsure.
