Maxus D90
… Maxus D90. MG, Roewe, and Maxus are all brands under SAIC. The Maxus is less luxurious and comes with less high tech than the RX8. It is therefore cheaper, a lot cheaper: the base version starts at just 156.000 yuan. The top trim version however costs exactly the same as the top end RX8; 260.000 yuan. Engine is the same 2.0 turbo mated to the same 6-speed automatic.
The X-Motion Concept will likely be a plug-in hybrid of some sort, but the production version will get exactly the same 2.0 turbo again. There are no plans yet for a hybrid version of the RX8 or D90.
