This is the final production version of the the Changan CS95 SUV. It lost the ultra-cool grille and now looks a tad too much like a mix of various Range Rovers. The CS95 is the largest passenger car Changan Automotive has ever made. It will compete with cars like the Trumpchi GS8 and the Haval H8.

Large overhang rear and front.

The CS95 has seven seats in a 2/3/2 setup. Power comes from a 2.0 turbo with a hefty 233 horses and 380nm, mated to a six-speed automatic ‘box, sending power to all four wheels via Changan’s NexTrac AWD system. Interestingly, Changan says that their self-developed TF-81SC gearbox can handle up to 740nm. They better prove that with a V8 version of the CS95!

Size: 4949/1930/1785, and wheelbase is 2810.

The CS95 will launch next month. Price is expected to start around 160.000 and end around 220.000 yuan.

The dash is a bit too gray but Changan tried to sex it up with some wood and a shiny panel on the center stack. There inside sits the infotainment system with a 10 inch screen. The infotainment system comes with a 360° camera system, Baidu CarLife and WiFi.

Analogue dials with a very clear TFT in between.

The screen does not touch. Functions are controlled by the knob and buttons below it.

Loads of space on the second row as demonstrated by this gentleman.

Third row only for the short-legged, and with the seats up there isn’t much…

… space left for the beer.

When you can’t decide which Range Rover you want, they got so many these days; just take the Changan CS95. It has a bit of all of ‘m.
