Spy Shots of the production version of the new Peugeot 308, looking smooth and sporty in red. The Peugeot 308 is a China-only sedan manufactured by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture. It will be launched on the Chinese auto market in September.

There will be two engines: a 1.2 turbo ‘Pure Tech’ with 136hp and 230nm, and a 1.6 with 117hp and 150nm. The 1.2 turbo will be designated ‘230THP’, the 1.6 ‘150THP’. The 1.2 turbo will be mated to a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, the 1.6 will be five-speed manual only.
The 308 is based on the PSA EMP2 platform.
Size: 4590/1820/1488, and wheelbase is 2675.
The 308 debuted last month on the Beijing Auto Show. The car on show was a pre-production model with blacked-out windows, but I managed to fire a shot at the interior. Large screen in the center stack, sporty seats with water bottles, and the automatic ‘box.
