Volkswagen will launch the ‘New Passat’ at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. It is the same car as the American Passat and will be made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture.

Volkswagen now makes three Passats in China: this New Passat, the Passat Lingyu (Shanghai-Volkswagen) and the European B6 Passat called Magotan in China (with FAW-VW). The last one will be replaced by the Passat/Magotan B7, to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show as well.
