The new Changan Ruixing M90 MPV has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 69.900 yuan and ends at 89.900 yuan. The Ruixing M90 is aimed at the transport sector; taxi companies, fleet companies, hotels, and everyone else who needs to ferry up to nine people.

There is a version with a heightened roof and one with a flat roof. The M90 has a large sliding door for access to the main passenger compartment. Looks are modern and clean, but not as exciting, or it is ugly, as its main competitor the Wuling Zhengcheng MPV.

The Ruixing M90 is powered by a Mitsubishi-sourced ‘4G94S’ 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol engine. Output is 122hp and 166nm, power goes to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.

Size: 5180/1744/1990 (2200 high roof), and wheelbase is 3250. It is available as a four-seater, a six-seater, a seven-seater, and a nine-seater.

The interior is fine for the segment although the steering wheel looks a tad too 2012.

The config of the nine seater is 2+2+2+3, but the rear bench is really only big enough for small children, and there won’t be any space left for the bags. A six or seven seat variant seems a more realistic option.

Nine seats with the high roof.
