Guangzhou Automotive has joint ventures with Honda, Toyota and will soon start with Fiat. But like all other Chinese automakers they want their own brand as well. This still nameless sedan is Guangzhou’s first ‘Guangzhou’-branded car, it is based on the outgoing Alfa 166 platform that Guangzhou bought earlier and so will be a front-wheel drive. The concept car this car is derived from was cooly called ‘VIP-Lounge’, guess that name will change…

Engines could come from Fiat but Guangzhou is busy developing their own 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 machines.
