Changan Oushang MPV goes Electric in China

This is the new Changan Oushang EV, an electric vehicle based on the upcoming petrol-powered Changan Oushang MPV. The Oushang EV will be launched on the Chinese car market in early 2016. Price is expected to start around 150.000 yuan including all green-car subsidies.

The Oushang EV is powered by an electric motor with 82hp and 240nm. Range is claimed to be 200 kilometer, with a 130 kilometer per hour top speed and a 0-100 in 12 seconds. Charging takes 30 minutes for 80% on a fast charger.

A vehicle electric or an electric vehicle? But no matter that, it is becoming crystal clear that the electric car market is starting to boom seriously in China, with ever more car makers developing ever more electric vehicles. The range of vehicles is also widening fast.
