New spy shots of the Beijing Auto B70 testing in China. The Beijing Auto B70 is the four-door variant of the Beijing Auto BJ40, scheduled for debut in the first half of 2015.
The B70 debuted as a concept on the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, and the last time we saw it was on the 2012 Beijing Auto Show where it was called ‘B70V’. Later on we heard it would be called ‘BJ70’, but new reports in Chinese automotive media indicate Beijing Auto will go for a simple ‘BJ40 4-door’.
The B70/BJ20 4-door will be powered by the same engine as the B40; a 2.4 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 143hp and 217nm, sending power to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Price will start around 170.000 yuan and end around 210.000 yuan.
