Beijing Auto BJ40 Dark Knight Edition hits the Chinese car market

The Beijing Auto BJ40 Dark Knight Edition has been launched on the Chinese car market, priced at 176.800 yuan. The Dark Knight is a special edition based on the Beijing Auto BJ40. The Dark Knight comes with a chromed grille, LED strips under the headlights, black side bars, chromed door handles, chromed fuel cap, chromed exhaust pipes, and superbly cool piano black 8-spoke alloys with a matte gray hub.

The alloys are as cool as they come but the tires are far too small, making for a slightly odd looking ensemble. The Dark Knight is also equipped with a new and improved variant of the Beijing Auto four-wheel drive system, the new system will be fitted on the while BJ40 range before the end of this year.

The engine is unchanged; a 2.4 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 143hp and 217nm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Tiny output will never make the BJ40 is runner, but shiny bits make it at least a bit of a looker. Now for those wheels…
