The new fifth generation Honda Odyssey has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 229.800 yuan and ends at 299.800 yuan. The new car came with a new slogan: “Be Ultimate MPV”. How catchy.
The Honda Odyssey is manufactured in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. It is one of the most popular MPV’s on the market, competing head-to-head with the endlessly successful Buick GL8. The Odyssey is only available with one engine, which will seriously limit its appeal. The engine is the rather old 2.4 liter four-cylinder petrol unit with an output of 183hp and 243nm, mated to a CVT.
