The very first spy shots of the Buick Envision SUV in China, seen here all naked at a gas station. The Buick Envision will debut on the Chengdu Auto Show in September and launch on the Chinese car market in Q4.  Price will start around 160.000 yuan and end around 220.000 yuan ($26.000 – 35.500).

The Envision is manufactured in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture, it based on GM’s Delta global-compact platform. The Buick Envision will be positioned above the China-made Buick Encore SUV and below the Buick Enclave SUV that is currently imported into China.

There will be two petrol engines available, both based on GM’s 2.0 four-cylinder turbocharged petrol. The low-spec variant delivers 200hp and 280nm and the top-spec variant delivers 260hp and 363nm. Transmission is a six-speed automatic.

But that is not all. GM is apparently also working on a 1.5 turbo with about 170hp and on a hybrid variant based around this 1.5 turbo. It is yet unknown when these variants will hit the market.

Size: 4667/1839/1696mm, wheelbase is 2750.
