Spy Shots of the Brilliance V3 SUV testing in China. The Brilliance V3 was expected to debut on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show but didn’t show, debut is now expected for the Chengdu Auto Show in September with a launch on the China car market in the fourth quarter. The V3 is a new compact SUV that will be positioned below the Brilliance V5.

The SUV will be based on the same platform as the Brilliance H220 that was launched on the Chinese auto market in November last year. Power will come from a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 105hp and 143nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. A 150hp 1.5 turbo will be added to the line-up later, likely in early 2015. Price will range from around 70.000 to 100.000 yuan.
