Spy Shots: Ford Tourneo Custom seen testing in China
New spy shots of the Ford Tourneo Custom testing in China. The Ford Tourneo Custom will be launched on the China car market in early 2015. Price will start around 200.000 yuan and end around 250.000 yuan.
The Ford Tourneo Custom is a MPV-style people carrier based on the eighth generation Ford Transit. It will be manufactured in China by the Jiangling-Ford joint venture. The joint venture currently makes the fifth generation Ford Transit, called ‘Classic Transit‘, and the seventh generation Ford Transit, called ‘Transit‘. China skipped the sixth generation completely. The Tourneo Custom will be available with two engines: a 2.2 liter turbodiesel with 120hp and 290nm, and a 2.0 turbo petrol with 240hp and 340nm. Ford will offer up to seven variants of the Tourneo, including a luxurious ‘VIP’ with captain seats and lots of goodies.
