Spy Shots: new Guangzhou Auto-Gonow subcompact sedan testing in China
The very first spy shots of a new subcompact budget sedan for Gonow, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Auto. The new sedan will debut as a concept on the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November. The production car will be launched on the China car market in the second half of next year.
The new sedan will be based on a slightly shortened variant of the Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GA3, and price will range from about 60.000 to 80.000 yuan. Power will come from a 1.4 with around 100hp and a 120hp 1.6 that is also used in the GA3. The market for this kind of small and cheap sedan is still growing fast in China, especially in second and third tier cities where many citizens got the cash to buy their first car.
