Spy Shots: Haima S5 SUV is Naked in White in China
New spy shots showing the upcoming Haima S5 SUV all-naked in white in China. The Haima S5 is ready, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be launched on the China car market in early 2014. Price will start around 80.000 yuan. The S5 comes with a heavy front end built up around a massive chrome grille, perfectly following the latest Bling-trends in China.
The Haima S5 will be powered by a turbocharged 1.5 liter four-cylinder with 150hp and 210nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT. A naturally aspirated 1.5 will likely become available as well, but not at launch. The latest reports in Chinese automotive media indicate a 1.8 turbo is probably on the cards as well. Size: 4285/1818/1653mm, wheelbase is 2642mm.
Back a tad too boring compared with shiny front.
Interior a mess of lines going everywhere with a rather weird high-standing screen on top of the dashboard. But the seats look really nice.
