Spy Shots: new Foton pickup truck testing in China
Spy shots showing a new Foton mid-size pickup truck testing in China. The new truck will be launched on the China car market sometime next year. The new pickup truck is squarely aimed at the successful Great Wall Wingle 5 pickup truck, which finds buyers down country and down town alike, and even more so with the recently launched ‘European Edition‘.
The new Foton pickup is a vehicle very much in the same style as the Wingle 5. Not too agricultural and with a touch of sporty. Big toll bar and rubber strips on bumpers will appeal to city eggs who like to go up mountain once a month, in summer, to barbeque and visit a strawberry farm.
But it will need an automatic!, otherwise most city piggies won’t even consider buying one, no matter how much rubber stuff is splashed over the body. The new pickup truck will be powered by various petrol and diesel engines, the petrol engines being a 2.0 turbo and a 2.4.
The target; the Great Wall Wingle 5 European Edition, priced from 79.800 yuan to 119.800 yuan.
