Spy Shots: Roewe 750 Hybrid

The Roewe 750 Hybrid has been around since the 2006 Beijing Auto Show, now in 2010 it loox like Roewe will finally launch it. The ‘D’ is the name does not refer to ‘diesel’ but to a trim-level, other levels being S, E, and EX. The hybrid will get a BSG (Belt driver Starter Generator) system from UK’s Ricardo and batteries from US’ Johnson Controls.

The hybrid system is made around the 1.8 turbocharged four. Top speed is 205km/h. Launch expected at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December, price yet unknown. Thanks to the Chinese govenment, as always concerned about the environment, buyers of a 750 hybrid can get a subsidy of 28.000 yuan.
