Guangzhou Automobile Corporation (GAC, aka Guangzhou Auto) and Zhongxing Automobile (ZX Auto) have announced a strategic partnership. The pair will work together to develop a new generation of small and medium-sized vehicles, and they will develop a new series of green cars.

The first fruit of the cooperation is the transfer of the Changfeng Liebao CP2 sedan to Zhongxing, which will launch the vehicle later this year as the first Zhongxin-branded sedan (pictured). The yet nameless sedan will be powered by a 1.8 liter Mitsubishi-sourced engine, good for 130hp and 165nm. Size: 4480×1770×1462, wheelbase is 2640. Price will start around 120.000 yuan.
