Dear Readers,

China celebrates its 61th birthday from 1 to 7 October. Not much for parades this year, the whole country is travelling around to family and friends. A week of too much food and too much baijiu but all under a very clear blue sky, in Beijing, that is. Traditionally also a good week for car sales but not such a good week for car news.
