Official Pictures: the Zotye Z100 is Ready for the Shanghai Auto show
Zotye has released the first official pictures of the upcoming Zotye Z100 minicar, it will debut on the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show later this week and it will be launched on the Chinese car market soon thereafter. Price will start around 24.000 yuan, making the Z100 one of the cheapest new cars on sale in China.
On earlier spy shots we always saw the Zoyte Z100 with a big black nose, which has fortunately been deleted on the production version.
The Zotye Z100 will be powered by a 1.0 four-cylinder with 56hp, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. The addition of the automatic will help sales very much, especially among first-car buyers. The Zotye Z100 will compete with fine cars such as the BYD F0 and Chery QQ.
Black plastics a bit cheap, but all together a fine job on a 24.000 yuan car. Large center-dial seems to become a new trend, earlier on we saw something similar on the new Toyota Vios.
