Spotted in China: BMW 1M looks Fast in Orange
A very hot BMW 1M painted in chili-orange, seen in the Sanlitun beer district in Beijing by reader Ali Khalili, thank you for the pics! The BMW 1M was made in 2011 and 2012, originally only 2700 were planned but BMW made 6331 cars in the end. The 1M was launched on the Chinese car market in September 2011, priced at 598.000 yuan or 93.590 USD.
China was allocated 450 examples, of which at least four reside in the capital. Power came from a twin turbocharged 3.0 liter six-in-line with 340hp and 450nm. Top speed was limited to 270km/h, but it won’t be much faster anyway, and 0-100 was gone in 4.5 seconds. Earlier on we met a weird black & white example.
