Chevrolet & Manchester United unite in China, but not all is good yet

GM’s  Chief Marketing Executive Joel Ewanick was fired because he signed a multimillion sponsor deal for Chevrolet with soccer club Manchester United, without asking his boss. GM however decided to honor the agreement because Manchester is extremely popular in fast growing Asian markets such as China, India and Indonesia.

China started hot with a Manchester Camaro back in September and today we have a sweet Manchester soccer babe with a Malibu on a local dealer show in Hunan Province. The Machester logo sits on the bonnet of the vehicle and on the ball. Too bad the babe is wearing the 2011/2012 shirt with sponsor AON, a bloody insurance company. Wadda mess! If Joel was only here…
