Spy Shots: JAC Eagle SII SUV = JAC Eagle S5
New spy shots and a new name. The JAC Eagle SII SUV that debuted as a concept on the Beijing Auto Show in April will be called JAC Eagle S5 when it hits the China auto market early next year, debut of the production version is expected for the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. That indeed is a long wait so here we go with some more spy shots:
Power will come from a 2.0 turbo with 161hp and 235nm, mated to a five-speed manual. JAC is also working on a new 1.5/1.5 turbo but thoee engines won’t be available at launch. Price is expected to start around 110.000 yuan. Size: 4430/1840/1660, wheelbase is 2640. The JAC Eagle S5 will compete with fine cars such as the BYD S6 and the Geely GLEagle GX7.
Lotta bulbs and lines, some chrome here, some alu there. Typical Chinese mess but not too bad.
Red & black matches nicely with orange.
