The Landwind X8 SUV is from now on available with a new 2.0 turbo diesel. The new engine poops out 120hp and 280nm. Price starts at 122.800 yuan and ends at 149.800 yuan. The 2.0 turbo diesel is an addition to the existing 2.5 turbo with 140hp and 340nm, priced between 130.300 yuan and 169.800 yuan.

The Landwind X8 is also available with 2.0 and 2.4 patrol engines. Most buyers however are in the countryside where they prefer diesel. Landwind is a brand name of the Jiangling Motor Corporation (JMC) and its no-nonsense vehicles are becoming rather popular abroad. A highly publicized adventure in Europe (the Netherlands) however failed dramatically.
