The facelifted Toyota Crown has been launched at the China auto market, price starts at 319.800 yuan and end at 519.800 yuan. The Crown is available with a 2.5 liter V6 or a 3.0 liter V6, the 4.3 V8 is no longer available for the Chinese market.

The Toyota Crown is made in China by the FAW-Toyota joint venture. It has to compete with fine cars such as the Audi A6L (from FAW-Volkswagen), the BMW 5Li and the Mercedes-Benz E-L. The old Crown was famous for being unsuccessful and I doubt the Germans are scared of this new car with only some cosmetic changes. Interestingly Toyota is also working on some sorta sporty version of the Crown to appeal to young buyers which will debut next year. We can’t wait!
