A very rare car seen in south western Beijing. The sporty Lexus SC300 coupe was developed almost exclusively for the North American market, and it was never officially exported to China. This shiny black example wit a fat-ass body kit is therefore likely an ex-diplomatic car, although the kit was probably screwed on later, diplomats tend to be a bit more subtle when it comes to their ride…

Not license plate. The SC300 was made from 1991 until 2000. It was available with a 3.0 six-in line, the SC300, or with a 4.0 V8, the SC400. The l6 pooped out 225hp and 285nm, the same engine was also used in the Toyota Supra sportsmachine. An impressive car then, and the first SC300 I have seen in eight years in Beijing.
