Brilliance is working on a new A00-class hatchback for the Chinese car market, in size comparable with cars like the Chery QQ or BYD F0. The Brilliance A00 could be branded ‘Brilliance’ or ‘Jinbei‘, or both. Price will start around 30.000 yuan and will end around 50.000 yuan. The A00 will be positioned below the upcoming H230 hatchback.

Most cars in this segment are powered by 1.0, 1.1 or 1.3 liter engines. Brilliance is working on a 1.3 that will also serve in the Jinbei S30 and Brilliance already has a 1.0 that powers the new Jinbei Haixing minivan. Power so shouldn’t be a problem. Platform is likely a smaller version of the platform that underpins the Jinbei S30.
