New SouEast Zinger Priced

SouEast was founded in 1995 by Chinese company ‘Fujian Auto Industrial’ and Taiwanese company ‘China Motor Corporation of Yulon’, the largest auto group in Taiwan. Fujian Auto has 50%, Yulon and Mitsubishi the other 50%. Mitsibishi has a 14% stake in Yulon.

SouEast makes the Mitsibushi Zinger, Galant, Lancer and Lancer EX. The cars are branded as ‘SouEast’ but wear Mitsubishi-badges. SouEast also makes cars using just the ‘SouEast’ brand with SouEast-badges: the V3, Freeca and Delicia. All based again on Mitsubishi platforms.

SouEast also has a small joint venture with Chrysler, still from the Daimler-Chrysler times when Benz had a share in Mitsubishi. It produces the Dodge Caravan.

The new Zinger, Junge in Chinese, debuted at the Beijing Auto Show and costs betweeb 136.800 and 179.800 rmb. Size: 4615x1775x1810, wheelbase is 2720. Only one engine: Mitsubishi 2.0 with 125kw and 190nm.
