Police in the great capital of Beijing, that is where I live indeed, found an extremely dusty BMW X1 parked on da street. The vehicle had no license plates and looked like it had been there for a while. Police decided to tow it away, but how to contact the owner? No plate = no phone number. Maybe the owner was traveling abroad or busy somewhere. One officer had himself the most brilliant idea…

Tow truck arrives, takes BMW. Now the officer gets to work!

The officer uses a piece of chalk to write the following: ‘To the owner of the BMW X1 car. Please contact the local police station for information concerning your property”.

Well, what can I say..? I say: Chinese policemen from Beijing are a smart lot.
