Here we have another strange vehicle based on the fine Beijing-Jeep 212. Earlier on we saw a full-size flatbed truck, today we have an excavator. In this case it seems that an old Beijing-Jeep cabin has actually been placed on a very rudimentary excavator-chassis.

Another example. As you can clearly see on the first pic the steering and the engine sit in the back, while the 212 for sure had all those up front. Both excavator-cars on pics have a detachable roof for some fresh air in summer.
