Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi police cars from China
The great city of Guangzhou in Guangdong province has ordered over a 100 brand-new Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi police cars. The Trumpchi debuted on the Guangzhou Auto Show in December 2010 and is based on the platform of the Alfa Romeo 166.
There are two engines available, both old Twinspark units from Fiat; a 2.0 and a cheaper 1.8. The Guangzhou police gets the 1.8, not the fastest engine but it is taxpayers money after all… The city paid 150.000 yuan per vehicle, or 24.000 USD. For that money the Trumpchi comes with the usual police-equipment on board.
