Recently, the Hycan V09 pure electric MPV was declared on the Chinese MIIT. It is expected to be officially launched in the second half of this year, featuring an 800V high-voltage system. Hycan was founded in 2018 as a joint venture between GAC and Nio, but in 2021 Nio started lowering its stake and fully withdrew in August 2022.

It is worth mentioning that by the end of 2023, Hycan plans to add 300 new charging stations throughout Chinese cities and deploy more than 2,000 charging stations in the next three years.

As a mid-sized SUV, the Hycan V09 measures 5215/1967/1910mm, and the wheelbase is 3170mm, which is 60mm longer than that of the Denza D9 EV. At the rear, the car has a large spoiler, a curved through-type taillight group, and chrome-plated elements at the bottom.

Hycan V09 will have a permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs a maximum power of 202 kW. Its 257 Wh/kg high-energy density battery pack gives it a pure electric cruising range is 750 km. The car’s standard 800V high-voltage system supports fast charging in which the battery life can be extended by 200 km with just 5 minutes of charging.

There is a millimeter-wave radar at the bottom of the front grille. A roof lidar is optional.

The car runs on multi-spoke rims.

Inside, the interior has three screens stretching from the left to the right on the dashboard, comprising an instrument panel, a central control screen, and a co-pilot entertainment screen. The steering wheel is flat-bottom, and mobile phone wireless charging is supported on the center console.

The Hycan V09 high-end model’s second-row seats can be electronically adjusted in 14 ways and have 8-point massage, 4-way lumbar support, 3-speed heating, and 3-speed ventilation functions. In addition, second-row passengers have access to a ceiling screen, a refrigerator, an independent air conditioning outlet, and a sunroof.
