This is the Haval B26 SUV, the brand’s upcoming new off-road vehicle under the Dragon series. B26 is the internal codename, its official name may be Xianglong (翔龙). It is expected to launch in the second half of this year.

Previously, Haval officially stated that it will launch two models under the Dragon series in the second half of this year, one of which is a hard-core off-road SUV. Furthermore, Great Wall Motors has previously registered the “Haval Xianglong” trademark.

The brand-new SUV adopts a non-load-bearing body. In terms of appearance, Haval B26 looks like a combination of the Haval Big Dog and Tank 300. Knowing that the Haval Big Dog is a light off-road vehicle while the Tank 300 is a hardcore SUV, Xianglong can go either direction.

Taking a closer look, the front face adopts a quadrangular grille. The “HAVAL” English logo is in the middle.

From the side, the car looks boxy. It runs on blackened five-spoke rims and has roof racks and conventional door handles.

The front fenders on both sides are equipped with front and rearview cameras. These sensors may further contribute to the car’s advanced driving system abilities.

At the rear, the previous spy photo showed that the Haval B26 comes with an external spare tire and a vertical taillight group. The tailgate handle is located on the left side of the spare tire, allowing the tailgate to be opened sideways.

The power spec has not been revealed. Judging from the official image, there is a charging pile on the wall, indicating that it will have a plug-in hybrid system. It is likely that Haval B26 may be equipped with Great Wall Motors’ Hi4 hybrid system. Hi4 is an acronym for Hybrid Intelligent 4-wheel drive. The system offers two powertrain configurations: a 1.5L hybrid engine + 70 kW front axle motor + 150 kW rear axle motor or a 1.5T hybrid engine + 80 kW front axle motor + 150 kW rear axle motor.
