Great Wall Tank 500 PHEV SUV At The 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show In China

This is the Tank 500 PHEV, a luxury SUV for the Chinese market. Reservation is expected to open during the 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show and delivery is expected to start in the second quarter of 2023. Tank is a brand under Great Wall Motors (GWM).

The front face has a large chrome-plated hexagonal grille. The LED headlights on both sides are highly recognizable.

The taillight group is arranged in a vertical fashion, connected by wide chrome-plated trim strips. The PHEV logo is displayed at the lower right.

The size of the car is 4886(5078)/1934/1905mm with a 2850mm wheelbase. The windows are decorated with chrome outlines.

As a PHEV, there are charging ports and refueling ports on both sides of the body. The Tank 500 PHEV is powered by a 19.94kWh battery pack. The battery system supports 30-minute fast charging and 3-hour slow charging.

The car runs on Continental UltraContact UC6 SUV 265/55 R19 or 265/50R20 tires.

The interior looks luxurious with high-end materials, wood trim, and an orange and black color scheme. The T-shape layout comes with a frameless 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 14.6-inch central control screen.

There is even a Tank-branded analog clock in the center stack.

The Tank 500 PHEV adopts a 2+3 seat layout. The front seats are electronically adjustable. Both the front and rear seats support heating & ventilation.

The Tank 500 PHEV is equipped with a 2.0T engine that outputs 300kW and 750Nm, mated to a 9HAT gearbox. Its 0 – 100km/h acceleration time is 6.9 seconds. Under pure electric mode, it has a WLTC cruising range that exceeds 100km. When in the hybrid mode under full charge, its WLTC fuel consumption is 2.3L/100km.
