Production of  the next-gen BMW 3-series will start in China in late 2012 by the Brilliance-BMW joint venture. The 3 will be made in a new factory in Shenyang alongside the BMW X1 SUV.

The 3-series will be extended for more space for passengers in the back and compete directly with the extended Audi A4L. Mercedes-Benz doesn’t make an extended C-class in China yet and as far as we know does not have any plans to do so. Via: Autohome.
