The Buick Lacrosse eAssist hybrid has been listed on the China car market. It is made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. Price starts at 269.500 yuan and ends at 285.900 yuan.

Very expensive indeed. The standard Lacrosse starts at 234.900 yuan. The hybrid’s eAssist system mates a 182-horsepower 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder gasoline direct-injection engine with a 15 electric motor. Transmission is a six-speed tiptronic.

Curiously the Lacrosse eAssist won’t be available everywhere. GM decided to start with China’s 25 biggest cities. Among those Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
