The Dongfeng EQ2050 is China’s take on the AM General Hummer. Read here how the Chinese got their hands on it. On today’s pics an interesting version. It belongs to the fire brigade of the Chinese army. Best thing is the camouflage. For a fire fighting vehicle indeed. So the flames won’t see it coming? Camouflage is bright orange with several tints of green. For your secret fire fighting.

The Dongfeng EQ2050 is powered by a V8 diesel from Cummins, made in China by the Dongfeng-Cummins joint venture. That same joint venture also makes most engines for Dongfeng’s civilian and military trucks.
