On March 18, Chery officially opened its Fulwin A9 executive four-seater sedan for blind order at the Chery Intelligent Strategy Conference in China. Then on March 19, more info about the car was revealed by the Chinese MIIT in the declaration catalog. The price tag is expected to be around the 400,000 yuan (55,300 USD) range.


Positioned as a plug-in hybrid mid-to-large sedan, the Chery Fulwin A9 measures 5018/1965/1500 mm, and has a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The curb weights are 2085 kg and 2230 kg.


It’s worth pointing out that Chery already revealed the official images back in October 2024. Chery has also confirmed that the car will be equipped with an intelligent electric four-wheel drive system. According to the Chinese MIIT, power comes from a 1.5L engine (model SQRH4J15) with a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp), paired with lithium iron phosphate battery packs supplied by Gotion. The lowest fuel consumption is 0.52L/100km and the top speed is 180 km/h. At this time, the other powertrain and battery specifications have not been revealed.

One of the car’s hightlights is Chery’s self-developed Falcon 700 advanced driving assistance system, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip and 27 sensors including a lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The system is also connected to a large AI model, which can realize scenarios such as memory parking, highway/city navigation on autopilot, large vehicle avoidance, lane change assist with blind spot detection, and summoning.


Furthermore, the Chery Fulwin A9 runs on 245/50 R19 or 245/45 R20 tires, and has an approach/departure angle of 13°/15°.
Looking ahead, Chery is expected to offer test drive sessions starting this month, then start pre-sale in April, follow by market launch in May or June.
