On January 6, Geely Galaxy released the official images of its upcoming L6 EM-i built on Geely’s next-generation Thor PHEV system (known as NordThor or Leishen), also the first sedan equipped with this system.

Earlier on January 5, Geely shared that its Geely Galaxy brand will launch five new energy vehicles in 2025, including two SUVs and three sedans. The L6 EM-i is one of them. Additionally, the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 will be exported overseas in the second half of 2025 and Geely’s next-generation Thor PHEV system will be popularized on Galaxy’s new products. In 2024, Geely Galaxy came in second in the sales ranking of emerging brands in China’s new energy vehicle market with annual sales of 494,440 vehicles.

For the exterior, the appearance of the Geely Galaxy L6 EM-i remains largely unchanged from the current L6 on sale, with the exception of the hidden door handles becoming conventional door handles and the EM-i logo is added to the tail. The size is expected to also remain unchanged, with a length, width, and height of 4782/1875/1489 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2752 mm.

The declared information by the Chinese MIIT showed that the Geely Galaxy L6 EM-i has the same powertrain as that of the Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i consisting of a 82 kW (110 hp) 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and electric motors, matched with lithium iron phosphate battery packs of 8.5 kWh and 19.09 kWh capacities, providing corresponding pure electric ranges of 48 km and 115 km, respectively; and the comprehensive fuel consumption per 100 km is 3.8 L and 3.95 L, respectively.

Unlike the exterior, the interior of the Geely Galaxy L6 EM-i has changed a lot, mainly in the center console. The vertical central control screen now adopts a horizontal orientation and the center console now displays wireless charging panel, double cup holders, and a rotary knob. On the contrary, the double-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel remains consistent. Additionally, the Flyme Auto smart cockpit will also be present.
