Aito M7 Ultra enters market starting at 40,000 USD

On May 31, Aito launched its M7 Ultra in China, available in four models, priced between 289,800 – 329,800 yuan (40,000 – 45,600 USD). The M7 Ultra has been upgraded in terms of appearance and advanced driving assistance configurations while the powertrain remains the same.

The front face adopts a new closed design. A new blue exterior color has been added, and two new wheel styles are available. The roof is equipped with a 192-line lidar – the same as that of the Aito M9), which has a longer detection capability (250 m) and is compatible with the Huawei ADS 2.0 advanced driving system. For reference, the current model uses a 126-line lidar with a detection distance of 150 m. Furthermore, the Aito M7 Ultra also comes with three millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars.

The Aito M7 Ultra is a medium-to-large SUV, with 5- and 6-seater options, measuring 5020 × 1945 × 1760 mm and has a 2820 mm wheelbase.

The interior remains unchanged with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch 2K central control screen. The standard interior colors are apricot and brown, an optional orange color is also available.

The cockpit has been upgraded to adopt Huawei’s HarmonyOS smart cabin system, equipped with a super desktop, multi-person and multi-device collaboration, front and rear screen linkage, Schroeder acoustic diffuser technology, and rear MagLinks that can adapt to 13.2-inch screens.

Furthermore, the seats have been upgraded to Nappa leather material. The longitudinal space of the third row of the six-seater model has been increased by 10 mm, the headspace has been optimized by 5 mm, and the seat height has been raised by 5 mm.

There is no change to the powertrain, retaining the 1.5T range extender system, available in RWD and AWD, with a maximum power/peak torque of 200 kW/360 Nm and 330 kW/660 Nm, respectively. The top speed is 190 km/h. The battery type is ternary lithium from CATL, with 42 kWh capacity. Under fast charging, it takes 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
