FAW-VW ID.7 Vizzion to start sales at the beginning of November, price around 27,000 USD

FAWVolkswagen ID.7 Vizzion will officially start sales at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. The mid-size sedan should be priced as VW Magotan for 186,900-253,900 yuan (25,600-34,800 USD).

The sedan is the electric version of the famous VW model Passat. It will be available with 2-wheel (2WD) and 4-wheel drive (4WD). The 2WD will have a 150 kW motor paired with a 77 kWh ternary battery produced by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL), enabling a 700 km range. The AWD version will carry 84.8 kWh battery. The model will be assembled in the JV’s Guangdong factory.

The ID.7 sits on a 4956/1862/1537 mm chassis with a 2965 mm wheelbase. The curb weight is 2122 kg. Two wheel options are available – 235/55 R18 and 235/50 R19. The top speed with the is 155 km/h.

The AWD trim runs on a 150 kW (201 HP) rear and an 80 kW (107 HP) front motor. The top speed is limited to 155 km/h. The AWD car will have a CATL’s ternary battery. The CLTC range is expected to be around 600 km. The AWD version’s dimensions are the same as the 2WD. The curb weight is higher due to an additional motor. AWD’s weight is 2,232 kg, while 2WD is 2,122 kg.

The car features Travel Assist 3.0 ADAS, which helps the driver maintain the set speed and distance to the other vehicles and assists in changing lanes. ADAS can be easily activated or deactivated by pressing the button on the steering wheel.

The electric sedan has a HUD (head-up display), which projects dashboard information on the windshield. The central control panel has a 15-inch display in 2K. It also features ID.OS 2.0 operating system and an on-board entertainment system with 16GB of memory.

Volkswagen’s upcoming model will be the sixth fully electric vehicle in the ID. Series, which includes the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.Buzz and ID.6.
