Recently, Chery announced that its upcoming brand-new pure electric SUV called eQ7 will roll off the production line on July 12 in China. The eQ7 is based on Chery’s exclusive all-aluminum pure electric technology platform. The price range might be between 150,000 – 200,000 RMB (21,800 – 29,100 USD).
In terms of appearance, Chery eQ7’s lower front face adopts a trapezoidal layout and comes with the popular split headlight group. The high and low beam lamps are integrated with the air ducts on both sides of the front face. The dual-color exterior creates a suspended roof effect, further enhancing the sportiness of the car. However, the door handles are not pop-out style. The rear adopts the popular through-type taillight group design, and black elements are added to the interior for embellishment, making it recognizable when lit up at night.
As a mid-sized SUV, the size of Chery eQ7 is 4675/1910/1660mm and has a 2830mm wheelbase. Its curb weight is 1,850 kg. Power comes from a motor with a maximum power of 155 kW and a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. It is available in rear-wheel drive and Chery claims that it provides 4 driving modes, 3 steering modes, and 2 braking modes. The top speed is 180 km/h. The range info has not been disclosed.
The car runs on 19-inch rims with tire specifications of 235/55 R19.
The interior is available in black and blue for consumers to choose from with a 24.6-inch dual-screen design consisting of an instrument panel and a central control screen. The center console has wireless charging panels and two cupholders.
Other interior configurations include voice control, 64-color ambient lights, an air filtration system, automatic temperature control, and more than 20 level 2 advanced driving assistance functions.
A panoramic sunroof brings in plenty of natural light.
The seats support heating/ventilation. The co-pilot can experience massaging. In addition, its front trunk capacity is 40 liters, and has 27 storage spaces throughout the entire car.
