Honda ZR-V e:HEV Launched In China, Price Starts At 26,200 USD

This is the Honda ZR-V e:HEV, a hybrid version of the current gasoline-powered ZR-V. Four models were launched priced at 179,900 – 228,900 RMB (26,200 – 33,300 USD) in China. The ZR-V is a subcompact crossover SUV with a sporty design and is a China-only model based on the North American variant of the Honda HR-V.

The front grille adopts a hexagonal design. The grille interior is decorated with a vertical strip structure.

Notable design elements include blackened aluminum alloy wheels, blackened external mirrors, and blackened shark fins. The size of the car is 4568/1840/1611 mm with a 2655 mm wheelbase.

The e:HEV logo is added to the rear to show its identity. The exhaust pipes are decorated in metallic gray. The Honda ZR-V is made in China by the GAC-Honda joint venture.

The interior is equipped with a 10.2-inch instrument panel, a 10.1-inch central control touch screen, a head-up display (HUD), a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, and the Honda Connect 3.0 system. Sound comes from 12 Bose speakers. In terms of safety, the car supports functions such as adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring with eight ultrasonic sensors and two radars. It can also detect oncoming vehicles when turning right through the front wide-angle camera.

Other functions include ventilation/memory seats and wireless charging. Under the central control screen are the air-conditioning outlet and some physical control buttons.

The ZR-V e:HEV is equipped with Honda’s fourth-generation i-MMD hybrid system which consists of dual electric motors that output 135 kW and 315 Nm, lithium-ion batteries, and a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with a thermal efficiency of up to 41% that outputs 105 kW and 182 Nm. The comprehensive power of the system is 149 kW, mated to an E-CVT. Depending on the models, their WLTC fuel consumption ranges from 5.13L/100km to 5.26L/100km.
