Recently, Chery launched two new models of the 2022 Tiggo 8 SUV, priced at 157,900 RMB (22,200 USD) and 159,900 RMB (22,400 USD), respectively.

The biggest difference between the new and current models is the seat layouts. The two new models each offer a 5-seat and 7-seat layout. The 7-seater adopts a 2+3+2 layout.

The seats are wrapped in synthetic leather and all support manual adjustment. The rear seats of the 5-seat model support a 4/6 recline ratio while the 7-seat model supports a 5/5 recline ratio. The second row in the 7-seater model can also be adjusted forward and backward.

As a medium SUV, the size of the car is 4700/1860/1746mm with a 2710mm wheelbase. The window’s outer edge, side skirts, and wheel eyebrows are all blackened to further enhance the sporty atmosphere of the car. The car runs on 18-inch wheels.

The front face is equipped with a large blackened grille connected to the headlights on both sides.

At the rear, the English character “CHERY” logo is printed above the taillights and comes with silver diffuser and two decorative exhaust outlets on both sides.

The interior comes with a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 7-inch instrument panel, and a 10.25-inch floating central control screen. The car comes standard with a panoramic sunroof.

In terms of safety, the new Chery Tiggo 8 models are equipped with front dual airbags and support functions such as forward collision warnings, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control.

The new models are powered by a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 115kW and a peak torque of 230Nm, mated to a 6-speed wet DCT, with an NEDC fuel consumption of 7.4L/100km.
