Official Photos Of The New ArcFox (?) LITE Mini EV For China
Official images of the ArcFox Lite, a new electric mini car for China. ArcFox is a new brand under Beijing Auto, focused on making ‘cool’ and somewhat premium electric cars for the young an hip.
The official photos however refer to the vehicle as the ‘Lite’, without any ‘ArcFox’. It has a LITE badge on the bonnet. Chinese media call it the ‘Lite by ArcFox’.
It is a bit murky. There have been rumors about U.S. company ArcFox Technologies threatening to sue Beijing Auto over the ArcFox name. So perhaps Beijing Auto changed the brand..? More on this as we get it.
Back to the car: it has an aluminium body shell and composite panels, which Beijing Auto says will keep weight down. But they don’t say how much the car weighs. They do say that it is powered by a 49 hp electric motor and that it has a range of 200 kilometers. Charging on a fast charger takes just 30 minutes for 80% battery.
There are LED displays up front and on the back, the driver can input his own text and graphics. That is going to be fun. “Get out of my way ##ssh#l#!”
The Lite will launch in October. Price is yet unknown and it is hard to make an estimate as there simply aren’t any other locally made premium mini EVs around.
Did it really get there on its own power..?
Graffiti jip, orange cars hip, two-tone cars hip, sporty alloys hip. All hip.
Earlier photos of a pre-production car, still with the ArcFox badge on the bonnet.
What are you; an ArcFox or a Lite or a bit of both?
