Ford Ranger Pickup Truck To Hit The Chinese Car Market In 2018

The Ford Ranger mid-size pickup truck will be launched on the Chinese car market in 2018. It will be manufactured locally by Jiangling-Ford, the joint venture that also makes the Everest SUV, which is based on the same platform as the Ranger.

The Ranger is currently manufactured in Thailand, South Africa, and Argentina. Engines: 2.5 petrol, 2.2 and 3.2 diesel. Sales in the United States will start in 2019. There the platform will also spawn a sporty SUV which will get the famous Bronco name.

The Chinese Ranger will likely get the 163hp 2.5 petrol,the 200hp 3.2 turbodiesel, and the 238hp 2.0 turbo petrol from the Everest. ‘Boxes: six-speed manual or automatic.
